Tea Room & Restaurant
Dutch Cottage is a medieval weaver's cottage dating back to the 15th century when the wool trade was at its height in Chippenham. Its position backing onto the river was ideal for this purpose. An addition in circa 1800 almost doubled its size but over the years many original features have been preserved.
Rob and Liz Perks converted the cottage to its present use in 2006 earning an Award from the Chippenham Civic Society. Now guests can enjoy a relaxing break in this historical setting, sitting by the logburner in winter or enjoying a peaceful corner of the tea garden in summer.
Personal service and excellent quality food are the standard we set for us and all our staff. All our food is prepared and cooked by us using locally sourced or fair trade ingredients wherever possible. We minimise the use of artificial flavourings, additives or preservatives, preferring the taste of natural, imaginatively cooked food.
You can expect traditional English favourites as well as some more contemporary dishes. Special diets, including Gluten free are catered for.
